In an emergency, Clayton County residents may be required to evacuate or stay in their homes. Listed below are some items that should be stocked in your home for emergency situations.
- One gallon of water per person, per day— Plan for at least 3 days!
- Non-perishable food supply (foods that are easy to store and carry, nutritious and ready-to-eat!)
- Manual can opener
- Non-perishable food for pets
- A duffel bag with the following items:
- First Aid Kit
- Prescription medicines (list of medicines and dosages, list of allergies), extra eyeglasses, medical insurance cards
- Extra set of keys
- Cash and credit cards
- Personal hygiene supplies
- Phone numbers of local and non-local relatives or friends
- Battery-powered radio and flashlight (with extra batteries for each)
- Cell phone and charger
