Get Ready . . . Be Prepared at Home and Work
In an emergency, Clayton County residents may be required to stay in their homes. Listed below are some items that should be stocked in your home for emergency situations.
- One gallon of water per person, per day— Plan for at least 3 days!
- Non-perishable food supply (foods that are easy to store and carry, nutritious and ready-to-eat!)
- Manual can opener
- Non-perishable food for pets
- A duffel bag with the following items:
- First Aid Kit
- Prescription medicines (list of medicines and dosages, list of allergies), extra eyeglasses, medical insurance cards
- Extra set of keys
- Cash and credit cards
- Personal hygiene supplies
- Phone numbers of local and non-local relatives or friends
- Battery-powered radio and flashlight (with extra batteries for each)
- Cell phone and charger
