Sampling Procedures

Due to the fact that our testing is performed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Laboratory, we are limited to the time when sampling can be performed.

1. To have your well sampled you must contact our office and speak with an Environmentalist and set up a method for payment.
   
2. The Environmentalist will then schedule a time to take the well water sample. The sample must be taken between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on either Monday or Tuesday.
   
3. Payment must be made (Fee Schedule) before the Environmentalist takes the sample.
   
4. It is not necessary for the homeowner to be present at the residence at the time of the sampling, due to the fact that sampling will be conducted from an outside hose bib. Access must be available to the well site and the closest outside water connection.
   
5. Once the sample is taken, the Environmentalist will return it to our office and send it to the state lab.
   
6. Results will be available within approximately 2 - 3 weeks.
