Amber Johnson has served as the Emergency Preparedness Director for the Clayton County Health District since January 1, 2025, following five years of dedicated service on the agency’s Emergency Preparedness team. She began her tenure as the Medical Countermeasures Coordinator, eventually advancing to lead the district’s comprehensive emergency preparedness planning and implementation efforts.
Amber holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and is a Georgia Emergency Management Agency Certified Emergency Manager. Prior to her career in public health, she spent six years as a pharmacy technician, gaining foundational healthcare experience that informs her logistical and operational expertise today.
Dedicated to the safety and resilience of Clayton County, Amber is committed to fostering strong community partnerships and enhancing the district’s response capabilities to ensure a prepared and protected public.
