On Friday February 2, 2024, the Clayton County Health District celebrated National Wear Red Day in support of American Heart Month. The agency sponsored a Fashion Show and other Heart Healthy Activities.
The South Side Steppers opened the program showing everyone how to get their heart rates going by through line dancing. Also in attendance were representatives from The American Heart Association, Walmart Health, and Center Well who each provided various informational brochures and swag items detailing the importance of why maintaining a healthy life style benefits a Healthy Heart.
The highlight of the program was the Wear Red Fashion show with participants from Clayton State University as well as the Clayton County Health District. With a total of 16 models, the 1st place winner was Ms. Shakendra Stafford. 2nd place went to Ms. Deborah Davis, and our 3rd place winner was Ms. Elicia Collins.
